Johns Creek Dentist

Meet Dr. Shawn Walls

I have always believed that the cornerstone of any successful business is integrity. I have built my practice upon the foundation of trust, and trust is built over a long period of time. No one is ever pressured here. With some practices advertising “spa dentistry” and others heavily promoting “cosmetic dentistry”, it has become confusing what the focus of a dental practice should be. I believe that dentistry is health care above all else. You should be able to trust your dentist to care for your health, not try to sell you products and services. We try to exceed your expectations with our customer service and quality of treatment, but we don’t do massages, manicures, or Botox injections.

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1980. From there I went to Louisiana Tech University on a football scholarship, graduating cum laude in 1984. I graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas in 1988, and then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson in 1989. I have been in private practice in the Atlanta area since 1989.

My wife, Carol, and I have been happily married since 1987. She is an Atlanta native, and a former Delta Air Lines flight attendant. We have two daughters, Anna and Emily, and a son, Jackson. In my spare time I attend drama productions and sporting events in which my children participate. I enjoy hunting and fishing, particularly trout fishing, when I have time.

Professionally, I belong to a number of dental organizations. I have earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, and I am a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
