I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1980. From there I went to Louisiana Tech University on a football scholarship, graduating cum laude in 1984. I graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas in 1988, and then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson in 1989. I have been in private practice in the Atlanta area since 1989.
My wife, Carol, and I have been happily married since 1987. She is an Atlanta native, and a former Delta Air Lines flight attendant. We have two daughters, Anna and Emily, and a son, Jackson. In my spare time I attend drama productions and sporting events in which my children participate. I enjoy hunting and fishing, particularly trout fishing, when I have time.
Professionally, I belong to a number of dental organizations. I have earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, and I am a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
